Service Description
Format: Intermediate | Skill Expansion | Functional Focus Duration: 3 Months (16 Sessions) Course Fee: ₹35,000 (inclusive of materials & firings) Start Dates: 4 per month — First/Third Wednesday & Saturday Structure: ● Total Sessions: 16 (14 Wheel Throwing + 2 Glazing) ● Session Duration: 3 hours each ● Studio Practice: Weekdays 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Note: Practice hours available only within course validity) How It Works This flexible-format module gives you the freedom to schedule your 14 wheel throwing sessions at your convenience, anytime within the 3-month course validity. Simply inform us at least a day in advance to confirm your next session. Glazing sessions follow a fixed monthly calendar—we’ll announce multiple date options each month, and you can coordinate with your instructors to book your preferred slot. Available time slots for instructor-led wheel throwing sessions are listed below. Available Time Slots for sessions (Instructor-Led): ● Wed–Fri: 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM ● Sat–Sun: 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM | 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Overview: Designed for potters who have completed Beginner Level 2, this course deepens your technical skills in both wheel throwing and surface decoration. You'll work with larger weights of clay to throw refined functional forms and explore slip trailing, sgraffito, and inlay for surface design. By the end, you’ll be confident with multi-step processes and complex shapes, ready for a more personal and intentional practice. What You’ll Learn: ● Clay Preparation: Spiral wedging for heavier weights ● Complex Forms: ○ Cylinders (800g–1.5kg), Bowls (600g–1.8kg), Jugs& Bottle Forms ○ Casseroles with 5 Lid Types ● Trimming & Finishing: Handles, lugs, refined shaping ● Surface Design: Slip trailing, sgraffito, mishima (inlay) What You Get: ● 16 wheel-throwing sessions + 4 handbuilding & glazing sessions ● Unlimited weekday and weekend practice hours (2 PM – 5 PM) ● All materials, bisque & glaze firings included ● A minimum of 16 finished, functional ceramic pieces Best For: Students ready to evolve their practice with functional precision and creative expression.
